Sorry for the long wait for our next craft, life caught up
with us but we are back! This time we aren’t just doing one craft, we are TWO
wonderful crafts for you to enjoy and the best part is that these crafts work
with each other!!! We are doing button pins and a fabric covered bulletin! How
fun is that?! These will make any craft room, bedroom, or office look fabulous!
We found both of these crafts on pinterest.com and they are so much fun! The
first craft are the button pins! These are super simple but they look great!!

Button Pin!
What You Will Need:
Thumb Tacks (you can find these at any office
supply store)
Buttons (we found ours at thrift shops &
craft stores)
Hot Glue Gun (please don’t burn yourselves like
we did)
Scissors (we used ours a few times)
1. Pick out your button! Make sure to pick one
that has a hollow in it for the hot glue, it makes gluing the thumb tack to the
button a lot easier.
Hollow Side Up!
2. Flip the button so that
the side with the hollow is up and fill the hollow with hot glue.
Hot Glue, Be Careful!
3. Push the thumb tack into
the hot glue. Do this quickly before the hot glue drys. Make sure not to burn
yourself!
Push the tack down into the glue quickly!
4. Allow your thumb tack to
dry in the glue for about minute to make sure the tack is going to hold in the
glue.
5. TADA! You have yourself a
button pin, perfect for any bulletin board!
TADA!!
Now that you have yourself a
bunch of button pins but no bulletin board to stick the pins in. We can help
you with that in our next craft, the fabric covered bulletin board!
Fabric Covered Bulletin
Board!
What You Will Need:
-
Thick Cork Board
(we found ours at a craft store but make sure it is thick)
-
Plywood (Cut the
same size as your cork board)
-
Tacky Glue (your
local craft store should have some)
-
½ yard of Fabric
(pick one that is your style but not too thick because the button pins have to
go through)
-
Staple Gun ( BE
CAREFUL)
1) Take your cork board and plywood and glue
them together with the Tacky Glue. We glued on the cork board and applied it to
the plywood. Spread the glue all over and stick the two together. Let this dry
over night or for at least 12 hours.
Cork Board!
Plywood!
Tacky Glue!
Glue ALL over!!
2) After the glue is completely dry and the cork board is stuck to the plywood, you can begin to apply the fabric. We took our fabric and wrapped it around the cork board side and stapled it to the wood side. The wood will provide a barrier so if your button pins are too long, the pin doesn’t go through your wall.
1/2 Yard Of Fabric!
Staple Gun!
Fold Over and Staple Down!
Staple It Down!
3) After you get the fabric all stapled down, you are ready to decorate the board with your button pins and anything else you choose to use!
TADA! You are all done and
you now have a glorious bulletin board and pins to go with it! We hope you
enjoyed these crafts as much as we did. If you have any suggestions on how to
make this craft better or a craft you would like us to do, just let us know!!
Thanks!
Love,
The Craft Girls
